I loved you once,
And I thought you loved me.
But love made me blind,
And my heart couldn't see.
I gave you everything I had,
With nothing in return.
All I wanted was you,
But that was one lesson I learned.
Never to give my heart away,
Love is to be earned.
What I have is not free anymore,
Come too close and you'll get burned.
