My feelings I kept inside,
For a long while I waited.
I was unsure of your feelings,
I tried to tell you, but then hesitated.
I thought you might laugh at me,
And say I was a fool.
When I imagined the worst of it,
To my heart you were cruel.
Then I realized I had to take a chance,
The music was slow, so we started to dance.
It felt so right with you in my arms,
Then you held me tighter, then I was a little alarmed.
I never thought things could be this way,
